What Fuel Theft Costs in the UK
Reports in the Uk indicate fuel theft incidents are on the increase and has now started to impact on the domestic market as well as commercial vehicles.
The escalating cost of fuel (petrol and diesel) and the current economic climate is being 'blamed' for the rise in fuel theft. More and more criminals are siphoning fuel from vehicles and pocketing the money.
According to figures from the RAC, this activity has increased by 50% from 2009.
Whilst fuel theft is not a relatively new problem, it's increase has brought to the market, a need for anti fuel theft devices to help tackle and hopefully eradicate the problem.
Escalting fuel costs and as yet, there seems to be no let up, also sees an increase in fuel theft, cosyting businesses thousands of pounds a year. The installation of a simple, cost-effective anti fuel theft device decreases the loss of fuel (and money) as well as downtime and inconvenience.
Protecting a vehicle ’s fuel is a wise move.
