 IMPORTANT - Please read the instructions before installing the cap.
The
cap will calibrate automatically & permanently once it has been screwed onto the valve stem. It CANNOT be recalibrated to any other pressure.
Installation Instructions:
- Set your tyre pressure to the exact pressure as recommended by your vehicle’s manufacturer.
- Remove the sticker, screw the cap onto the valve stem (a slight hissing sound may be heard) and tighten firmly by hand. Do not use any tools other than if provided.
- Unscrew the cap and if fitted correctly, it will flash.
Re-tighten the cap.
The cap is now PERMANENTLY calibrated to the tyre pressure
Information: The Tyre Pressure Alert Valve Cap is designed to fit any standard valve stem. We recommend that you periodically take the cap off to ensure that it is working. As soon as it is removed it will start flashing if batteries and circuitry are functional. The battery life has approximately 2 years of standby and up to 3 weeks of flashing. It is also recommended to change the cap simultaneously with the valve stem when replacing the tyres or at least every two years. Note: If you rotate your tyres, be sure that the caps always remain in their original front/rear positions since they are calibrated accordingly.
Liability: The Tyre Pressure Alert Valve Cap is only an aid in monitoring low tyre pressure. You should still follow the manufacturer’s instructions and recommendations regarding tyres and tyre pressure even when using the cap. It is against the law to drive with over or under-inflated tyres. The cap does not relieve you from your obligations of regularly checking your tyre pressure. We limit our maximum liability to the purchase price of this product.
Warranty: The Tyre Pressure Alert Valve Cap comes with a one year limited manufacturers warranty. We guarantee that the product is free from any manufacturing defects. If found defective, return the product to the address below with a copy of your purchase receipt. We will examine the unit and date codes and will replace it or reimburse you if the unit is found faulty and under warranty. Please note that batteries are not covered under the warranty.
*The CAP accuracy is approx +/- 1 psi.
To check for correct installation,
unscrew the cap and ensure it flashes before re-attaching to the valve stem.
